From country players to rockers, from hip-hoppers to rappers - and everything in between. He has written, played, and recorded with all of them! A little over 13 years ago, Jon Bryan started an open mic in San Antonio, Texas at Boomerang's Cocktails. Referred to as simply "The Mic,"
The Mic was a regular weekly fixture at the Main Street Bar on Wetmore, Clayton's Place off of 410 and Babcock, Tra's Cocktails (Now Hooz) on Babcock, and a handful of other venues throughout the San Antonio area. It was one of the most successful, longest running and most wide-spread open mics in San Antonio! At one point, Jon hosted the Mic five nights a week at different venues all across the San Antonio area! After several years on hiatus, Jon moved to New York City where he began hosting The Mic at The Underground Lounge!
On November 13, 2011 Jon hosted his last show at The Undeground. He has left New York City and returned to his home state of Texas. He is currently looking for a new venue for The Mic.
